Meghan Dingmann, marketing specialist; Dawn Koeniguer, marketing specialist; and Wendy Jerde, communications director, will present a case study on their culture communication plan to motivate every employee in every CentraCare location to create one culture.

Scott Keefer, vice president of public affairs and policy/legislative affairs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, will take us through significant legislative issues that we need to pay attention to.

Nancy Burke and Richard Dodson, authors of Power Your Career: The Art of Tactful Self-Promotion at Work, will outline actions that even the most reserved can take to increase their visibility without violating their integrity or values -- and without triggering a panic attack!
11:45 a.m. Awards Ceremony
The MHSCN Award of Excellence honors the great work completed in 2017.
12 p.m. Lunch and time with exhibitors and speakers
1 p.m. Bootstrapping Research
Dr. Mike Porter, APR, distinguished service professor at the University of St. Thomas and faculty director of the Opus College of Business Health Care Communication Program, knows all about research on a limited budget. He will cover ways to tools and resources you may already have within reach to deliver effective audience engagement.
1:45 p.m. Active Shooter Awareness and Preparedness
Glenn Sanders, protective security advisor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, will explain how we can prepare for and respond to active shooter situations at health care organizations in our communities.

Our conference will be held at the beautiful Metropolitan Ballroom & Clubroom in Golden Valley (map and directions).
